Best-in-technology explosion protection equipment from IEP Technologies, the premier company in the industry. Over 60 years of designing and furnishing systems that save lives.
Since 1956, the company now known as IEP Technologies has been in the business of saving lives by preventing explosions in process-related industries. Whether you manufacture food, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals, or process wood, plastics, or metals, almost every industry creates combustible dusts and environments that must be protected from deflagrations and explosions.
IndustriCorp partners with IEP Technologies to provide best-in-technology explosion protection equipment and designs that protect your process, your facility, and most importantly, your people.
IEP fields the largest team of highly trained service technicians in the industry, ensuring fast response time to any service needs and keeping your production lines running.

Explosion protection is not one-size-fits-all. We engineer the right approach for your vessels, your dust hazards, and your facility layout.
Usually the most economical option from an equipment standpoint, explosion vents are engineered panels designed to rupture at a preset pressure point, preventing the rupturing of the vessel on which they are installed.
Used in circumstances where the emission of fire and debris from a rupturing explosion panel cannot be safely vented. Flameless vents remove the highest temperatures of the deflagration and the debris while still allowing pressure release.
IEP Explosion Suppression Systems represent the state-of-the-art in explosion protection technology. The IEP Smart DS Explosion Detector uses rate-of-rise dynamic pressure sensing, paired with the FAB-4 Field Connection Box, to analyze sudden pressure rises within the protected vessel.
If detected as an impending explosion, the system activates extinguishers that inject suppressant, reducing the heat energy and preventing the explosion from developing. The entire process happens within milliseconds, preventing damage to the vessel, surrounding equipment, and most importantly, personnel.
Explosion isolation is incorporated into nearly every protection scenario, preventing the propagation of deflagrations from one vessel to another. We offer both passive and active isolation solutions.
Passive protection uses the pressure wave of a sudden deflagration to activate inline equipment, sealing off the connection between the affected vessel and other equipment connected to it. No detection electronics or active triggers required.
Using the same suppression technologies, active isolation systems are usually integrated with the suppression system of a protected vessel and activated at the same time as the vessel protection system itself.
